Synthesis and Electrical Conductivity Study of LiGdP2O7 Fast Ionic Conductor

The electrical conductivity of solid electrolyte LiGdP2O7 prepared by wet chemical method has been found to be 2 × 10-5 S cm-1 at 400oC. The transport properties such as hopping frequency, charge carrier concentration have been studied. The activation energy for hopping (Eω) is in good agreement with the bulk activation energy (Eσ) suggesting the independent nature of carrier concentration with temperature.
