The influence of GH-RH and GH-RH synthetic analogs (MZ-4-71, JV-1- 65 and JV-1-36) on TNF- and IL-18 secretion from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells have been studied. GH-RH(1-29)NH2 and its analogs (JV-1-65 and JV-1-36) stimulated, but GH-RH(1-44)NH2 and MZ- 4-71 inhibited TNF- secretion. Both GH-RH(1-29)NH2 and JV-1-65 significantly stimulated the secretion of IL-18. The results demonstrate for the first time the involvement of GH-RH and its analogs in the regulation of IL-18 and TNF-secretion from human leukocytes.
