Amino Acids : The Energy Blocks for Sportsmen

Sreepad HR

This is a short review article which has presented some of the aspects of amino acids – the energy blocks of sports persons. All human beings need energy for their activities. But people involved in sports activities need extra energy to carryout the sports activities. Few notable studies carried out on the amino acids specially the Alanine have been discussed. Recent investigations carried out by the author on the Alanine have also been discussed. Here, First-principles calculations have been carried out to look at the structural pattern of the material and to look at the electronic and dielectric properties of the material. The effect of fluorination in this technologically important material has also been discussed. Band gap of the material decreases due to fluorination. Average value of Dielectric constant of the material increases due to fluorination in this technlologically important amino acid.
