In present study, an attempt has been made to develop a simple method for the simultaneous determination of ofloxacin and ornidazole usingDifferential Pulse Polarography (DPP) technique. Quantification of ofloxacin and ornidazole was done in Britton-Robinson Buffer of pH 5.5 using 1MKCl as a supporting electrolye. Both ofloxacin and ornidazole exhibit reduction cathodic peak in given pH with peak potential at -1.25 V for ofloxacin and 0.35V for ornidazole vs. S.C.E. 0.1N HClwas used as Solvent for the analysis. The method was validated in the terms of its linearity; accuracy, precision, robustness, ruggudness, LOD and LOQ. Proposed method was found to be simple, precise, and accurate and can be successfully applied for routine quality control analysis and simultaneous determination of ofloxacin and ornidazole in combined drug formulations.
